Greta Silvertooth is a graduate of the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin, where they earned their bachelor’s degree in public relations. Throughout their college years, Greta consistently showcased their unwavering dedication to community building and fostering inclusivity by organizing several student-led town halls focused on addressing the social, political, and economic concerns affecting Texas and the United States.
After college, Greta embarked on a professional journey that further honed their skills and passion for connecting with diverse communities. As an assistant at a law firm in Galveston, Texas, they demonstrated their proficiency in public relations while engaging with individuals from various backgrounds. Their experience in this role emphasized the significance of listening to those whose stories often go unnoticed and whose voices often remain unheard.
In addition to their academic and professional pursuits, Greta has traversed the United States, broadening their perspective and informing how they approach community needs. This extensive travel has enriched Greta's understanding of the challenges faced by different communities, further fueling their dedication to making a positive change.
Driven by a profound commitment to community engagement, Greta actively seeks opportunities to make a meaningful difference. Whether dedicating their time to volunteer at local charities or organizing meaningful fundraising events, Greta consistently strives to support those in need. Their journey from student-led initiatives to professional roles, coupled with a broadened perspective gained through travel across the United States, reflects a deep understanding of the importance of lifting marginalized voices, addressing community needs, and making a positive impact on the world around them.
