Bridget Wood-Turner graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. She started her career with Union Carbide and was transferred to Texas City, Texas. She held various engineering and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) roles before moving into Manufacturing leadership with Dow Chemical. In 2015, she became the Freeport Site Leader and Texas Operations Director for Olin. Bridget also served on the Board of the Texas Chemical Council and was Co-Chair of the Brazoria County Petrochemical Council. She is recently retired.
She lived in League City for almost 30 years and was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She and her husband, Tim, moved to Friendswood in 2019 and have 3 grown children. She proudly serves on the Board of United Way Galveston County Mainland since 2012 and is a very busy Galveston County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for foster children. In her free time, she enjoys kickboxing and gardening.
