Gary M. Scoggin P.E. is an independent Sustainability and Environmental Management Consultant. He has over forty-five years of experience in the energy industry, much of it with BP, including engineering and management positions in refining, petrochemicals and corporate.
Very active in community affairs he is the long-time President of Mainland Community Partnership and, through that organization, helped found Galveston County Recovers. He is also a board member of Higher Up Texas, the Texas City Rotary Club, and St. John’s United Methodist Church. Previously, he has served as a board member of the College of the Mainland Foundation, the TCISD Foundation for the Future, and several other community organizations.
He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, an MS in Environmental Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake and has received continuing education certifications from Rice University, the London Business School and MIT.
