Leaders of Tomorrow

The Mary Ellen Doyle Leaders of Tomorrow program was created with the idea that the leaders of tomorrow come from the youth of today. We at UWGCM want to play a role in shaping the next generation of leaders and community minded citizens by creating opportunities for them.

The goal of the Leaders of Tomorrow program is to get young people in Galveston County involved in their communities through volunteerism. This program will bring youth-led community service projects to all parts of Galveston County by coordinating volunteer opportunities and providing funding. A Youth United Way Board of Directors is currently being formed with representatives from each of the school districts in the mainland communities of Galveston County. This advisory board will create and complete projects, advocate for UWGCM in their schools, and review applications for funding for youth-led community service projects.
