Texas City Mayor Matt Doyle hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony for Galveston County\'s First Born Learning Trail! Located at Rainbow Park in Texas City (800 Bay Street), this interactive trail features 10 stations that encourage children and their caregivers to start talking and start learning!
Each year, a select group of high-performing businesses take on the challenge to \"jump start\" the annual campaign by becoming a Pacesetter. These organizations set the standard for leadership and community support by locking in their increased campaign donations during the summer months. The success and excitement generated by the activities of our Pacesetters will help to inspire other organizations to follow their lead when running their own campaigns.
Will Roberts, son of UWGCM Board Member Phil Roberts, built the first Born Learning Trail in Galveston County for his Eagle Project on October 22, 2011 at Rainbow Park in Texas City. Thank you to the Boy Scouts, the City of Texas City, and Marathon Petroleum for partnering with UWGCM to make Galveston County Mainland STRONGER TOGETHER.
