Family Service Center of Galveston County names three local families as the honorees for the organization’s 100th year anniversary to be celebrated at their 12th Annual Gala. The Moody, Kempner and Dues families will be honored on February 8, 2014 at the Moody Gardens Convention Center. Family Service Center’s gala theme is all about “Old Galveston”, celebrating the individuals, families, architecture and stories that have made the Galveston County community a special place to call home for so many people over the years. Family Service Center is a non-profit counseling agency that has served Galveston County residents of all ages and incomes since 1914. The annual gala is the agency’s only fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds going to support the programs of the agency, such as working with children, families and senior citizens. At the gala, guests will truly experience the celebration and excitement of “Old Galveston” with good food, fun music, wonderful auction items and families that have lived the mission of “strengthening families and supporting communities” in the Galveston County community. Please plan to join Family Service Center at their Centennial Celebration “A Night in Old Galveston” on Saturday, February 8th from 6pm-11pm at the Moody Gardens Convention Center.
