The Galveston County Daily NewsIf you are feeling a little bit of deja vu after reading the title of this post, don't worry. Your mind is not playing tricks on you. Patrick Graham, from the Galveston County Daily News, and Keith Casey, Plant Manager of BP Texas City, at Miles for the Mainland Fun Run on October 15 in Texas City

We have many reasons to say THANK YOU to the leadership and employees at the Galveston County Daily News for this article  (Galveston County Daily News Employees Give Back, Patrick Graham, Nov. 6, 2011). There are several layers of generosity underlying this article, from the high employee giving involvement to the company's large donation to the continued coverage that our cause and our Partner Agencies receive. We are grateful for this committed, multi-faceted support. When an organization or business uses it's influence, resources and talent to ADVOCATE for United Way, we like to say "Thank You." We also like to say "Thank You" when employees choose to GIVE a portion of their hard earned wages to change outcomes for people in our communities. We feel that another time to say "Thank You" is when individuals VOLUNTEER their time and talent to make things better in Galveston County. It's a wonderful thing when an individual chooses to do one or all of these. But when it's part of the culture, part of the business, part of the day-to-day operations of an organization, that is really special. The Galveston County Daily News has demonstrated a deep commitment to making Galveston County Mainland STRONGER TOGETHER by supporting our United Way. Because of support like this, our 31 Partner Agencies will provide programs that improve the health, income stability and education of our 13 cities.

How will you join the movement to LIVE UNITED?
