United Way Supports Disaster Relief

United Way Galveston County Mainland invests in disaster relief through contributions to American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.  These two agencies are among the first responders and help to provide care for those affected by disaster.  In addition, the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army provide water and meals to the firefighters, police officers and other first responders during a disaster and the recover efforts. As wildfires continue to burn very close to the Greater Houston Area and beyond, we want to offer thoughts and prayers to our neighbors across the state who are facing great trauma and loss. In the face of destruction from nature's elements, like water, wind and fire, it is very important for a community to come together and stand strong with unity and courage. Any wildfire relief contributions that are given to United Way Galveston County Mainland will be forwarded (100%) to the United Way agencies responsible for serving Grimes, Montgomery and Waller counties.
