United Way Galveston County Mainland has started a Harvey Relief Fund to support our community in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Many food, water, and clothing donations have already been received and we are blessed to have such strong community support, but we know we all have a long way to go. By supporting the United Way Galveston County Mainland Harvey Relief Fund, your donations will help the residents of Galveston County including Dickinson, Texas City, La Marque, Hitchcock, League City, Friendswood, Santa Fe, San Leon, Kemah, and Clear Lake Shores. We have a long road to recovery, but with your help we can only come out stronger. Click here to support: https://www.gofundme.com/uwgcm-harvey-relief-fund.
United Way Galveston County Mainland has been working with its partner agencies such as the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army to provide safety, shelter, and basic needs, but needs your help to support long-term recovery needs. UWGCM maintains a disaster reserve fund, which will be used for this storm, however because of the widespread flooding and devastation already seen, the needs of those impacted will far exceed existing resources.
