June 20: TCFD to Host 1st Annual Firefighter Games on 6th Street

Fire Fighter GamesJoin us on 6th Street in Texas City this Saturday, June 20 for the 1st Annual Firefighter Games on 6th Street, hosted by the City of Texas City Fire Department! There is something for everyone, so bring the whole family. We have the Firefighter Games 5K and 1K Run/Walk starting at 7, followed by a Parade of bright and shiny fire trucks at 9! The Parade will begin at City Hall and continue East on 9th Avenue (Palmer Highway) to 6th Street. Starting at 10 AM, the area's best Firefighters will compete in Pumper Races and a Waterball Tournament. The public will enjoy watching Firefighters battle it out to be the best of the best. For the kids (and kids at heart) we will have face painting and fire truck tours. There will be plenty of delicious food and lots of great shopping in the area for everyone to enjoy. We also invite the public to compete in our Horseshoes Tournament and/or our BBQ Cook-off which will both be happening all day on Saturday.
